Opportunities with Dynamic Therapy & Learning are available throughout our service region in the Hudson Valley, the five boros of New York City, and New Jersey.
The duties and responsibilities of a Dynamic Therapy & Learning Speech-Language Pathologist are associated with the screening, analysis, evaluation, and treatment of communicative, swallowing and other problems resulting from speech, language and related disorders and the diseases or traumas, which caused them. In addition, s/he is expected to:
• Plan and implement treatment programs designed to restore or improved the swallowing function of patients with swallowing disorders in order to accomplish the most beneficial method of nutritional intakes
• Examine, treat, and prepare case histories on the therapeutic progress and goals of patients under treatment
• Treat speech, language and related disorders such as aphasia, dysarthria, phonological defects language delay, stuttering, augmentative communication and other disorders as well as those secondary to traumatic injury
• Educate and counsel patients and their families in the principles and basis of speech, language, swallowing and/or related impairments
• Instruct health care personnel and other team members in the principles and basis of speech pathology, including the latest clinical techniques and patient care management
Requirements: Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology, a New York or New Jersey state license with 1-3 years work experience.
